A while back someone decided to steal the Y and the L at this historical school. Yesterday it said “Nevada City Elementar Schoo ”
Installation went off without a hitch. It was quite a day of celebration and it sure looks great! The detail cuts on the panels were done by RGB Display of Grass Valley. The welding was all done at our shop in Grass Valley and the letters were cut out on our Plasma Machine – Click here to see the video.
Fabrication is almost complete for the KVMR Radio Tower. October 28, 2014 is installation day!
Someone is getting a surprise today! This gate was designed on AutoCAD and then cut on the plasma table. All the pieces were assembled into this beautiful gate. It does not have a finish coat on it – that is up to our new owner. Check out the SunShineValley gate under the Gate Category – That gate was hand painted by the owner – look close at the grapes……
A plasma torch is used for cutting metal quickly. We use the plasma torch to create designs out of just about anything. Most of the images in the album below were created on a Plasma Table. An idea is transformed into a picture with a computer program called AutoCad, an engineering program. Once the picture is exact it is transferred to the cutting machine where a flat piece of steel is transformed into the designs. We will post a video of the table in use in the future. This is the ultimate fabrication tool.
See the photos below of some metal repairs that have been completed. A broken dumpster lift arm, a pot from a commercial kitchen, and then someone ran their car into a dumpster gate in Grass Valley – we fixed them all!
